Hospices need to raise over £1.5 million each day to keep going. Hospices care for 360,000 people every year, including patients, families and friends. Hospice care can be at home, in day care or in a hospice.

Hospice care is free for patients and their families, but it is not free to provide. All donations, however big or small, help hospices to provide the very best care to people facing the end of life and their families.

  • £5 could help pay for a patient's home-cooked lunch

  • £30 could pay for a physiotherapy session, helping someone to become more mobile

  • £50 could pay for a counselling session for bereaved family and friends

  • £200 could pay for a hospice community nurse for one day, helping to care for patients in their own home
